Went to the doctor last Friday for X-rays due to pain in my shoulder and clavicle. Fortunately, nothing was broken, and it was determined that I had tendinitis. I went back to work the following Monday and assumed that any physical therapy would be up to me as I still don’t have insurance. Having had the flu last week also took a toll on my finances as I don’t have sick leave either. But I did some of the exercises my doctor showed me and my shoulder seemed to improve slightly over time.
Unfortunately, last night I woke up in extreme pain and could not go back to sleep. When I checked my injury in the mirror, I noticed that my shoulder appeared swollen and it was also painful to the touch. So, yet again, I’ve missed work and will probably not be able to pay all of my bills. I can’t afford to go back to the doctor for an MRI now or probably in the near future either. I can’t say how this affects my mood. I’m obviously depressed now and feeling frustrated with this country’s lack of a healthcare system. If I’m lucky, I won’t lose my job again simply because I got sick either. So sad right now.
