Coming soon

Called my apartments and was told that the new ducts could be put in as early as Monday. They will come to inspect them then, and if they have what they need at that time, they’ll do it then. If not, I’m told they will come back Tuesday to do the job. That’s a good thing, as I don’t work well when it’s over 78F in here. Although the thermostat says it’s only 78F, it definitely feels hotter because the air isn’t moving around.

In other news, I wrote a short story that I’d hoped to publish in a magazine, however it was a bit long (shocker!) for most of them. Therefore, I revised it into a short novella and submitted it to my publisher today. Hopefully, I’ll hear something soon. I’ll let you know.

I haven’t yet heard from them about my other manuscript, but I sent an inquiry. They’re working on it. Also, I’m told that it shouldn’t be too much longer before Descent of the Vile goes into editing. Hopefully, I’ll have some news soon on that front, as well. Again, I’ll let you know.

I apologize also for the lack of author appearances recently. A couple of the ones I was trying to arrange fell through, and so I am waiting until the fall to try to arrange any more due to the weather. I might just wait until Descent of the Vile comes out and schedule them around it instead. However, if I can, I’ll try to bring copies of both books to any signings coming up in the next few months (if the book comes out before this winter). If you have a copy of The House of Wynne Lift and would like it signed, I will be happy to sign them for you.
